PDF to PPT FAQ
How do I convert a PDF to PowerPoint?
Upload your PDF (drag and drop it or pick it from your device), and we'll convert it to an editable PowerPoint file. When it's done, download the PPTX and open it in PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, or any app that reads PPTX. Each PDF page becomes its own slide.
Does my file get uploaded somewhere, or does it stay on my device?
This one is a cloud conversion, so your file does leave your device. It's uploaded to our conversion service, processed there, and then deleted afterward. We never keep it or use it for anything else. If you'd rather a file never leave your computer, our purely client-side tools (like merge and split) handle everything in your browser instead.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes, up to 100 MB per file. That covers most presentations and reports comfortably. If your PDF is larger, try compressing it or splitting it into smaller files first.
Are the slides actually editable, or just images?
The output is a real, editable PPTX. Text, shapes, and layout come through as editable elements you can rework in PowerPoint. The one exception is scanned PDFs (see below), which come through as images.
Why did my scanned PDF turn into pictures instead of editable text?
A scanned PDF is really just images of pages, with no actual text underneath, so there's nothing for us to pull out as editable text. Run it through OCR first to make the text recognizable, then convert. After that you'll get editable slides instead of flat images.
The layout looks a little off after converting. Is that normal?
It can happen with complex layouts, heavy graphics, or unusual fonts. PDF and PowerPoint structure content differently, so we rebuild your pages as slides as faithfully as we can, but intricate designs may need a few touch-ups once they're open. Simple, text-and-image documents usually convert cleanly.
Is PDF to PPT free?
Yes, it's free to use. Just upload your PDF and download the converted PowerPoint.
