Batch PDF to Word — FAQ

How do I convert several PDFs to Word at once?

Drop your PDFs onto the page — or a whole folder — then click Convert all. Each file is converted to an editable Word document one by one, and when they finish you click Download ZIP to get them all back in a single archive.

Will the Word file look exactly like the original?

No converter can promise a pixel-perfect copy. We extract the text into a genuinely editable .docx, which is what you want for editing — but scanned PDFs or heavily-designed pages may need cleanup afterwards. For a born-digital PDF with normal text, results are usually close.

Which PDFs convert best?

Text-based, born-digital PDFs convert best. Scanned PDFs have no selectable text — run OCR on them first, otherwise the Word file comes back empty. If your PDF is mostly tables, the PDF to Excel converter usually gives a cleaner result.

Is there a size or count limit?

You can convert up to 20 PDFs per batch, each up to 5 MB. For a file larger than 5 MB, use the single-file PDF to Word tool, which handles bigger files.

Are my files uploaded, and is it free?

It's free with no account. Unlike our browser-only tools, conversion to Word runs on our own server, so each PDF is sent there, converted, and returned — it is not stored or kept afterwards.
